SFERE VOCALI

Sfere Vocali is a recently created vocal chamber ensemble comprised of five singers who bring broad professional experience both as soloists and in professional choral ensembles. The ensemble was born of a desire to form an innovative new ensemble, with each singer contributing individually in order to form a unique common sound and a special way of living and understanding vocal music in small format.

Winners of the Barcelona Crea scholarship, their first major project was the professional recording of a CD with music by Francisco Guerrero. A collaboration with the Ensemble Dichos Diabolos, the album marks the celebration of the 500th anniversary of Guerrero's birth. In addition, they have created the concert program "Sospirs," an all a cappella program of early Italian Baroque music.

The five members of the Ensemble are Anaïs Oliveras and Evelyn Johnson (sopranos), Mariona LLobera (alto), Matthew Thomson (tenor) and Oriol Mallart (bass).
